Planting a Tree

The old saw has an answer to the question: “When is the best time to plant a tree?: Yesterday.

When is the next best time to plant a tree?: Today.

There is no time like the present, in other words, to start exercising control over your life. A robotic existence offers no pathways to growth and learning, only a buffeting, like a leaf in a creek bouncing from rock to rock, sometimes being captured, other times flowing to the next rock, never knowing how or why?? Often we Act and express out of control emotions, with not a hint of our inner motivation.: valid or not, useful or not, skillful or not?

Can we control the fingers of fate all the time? Of course not, but we can constantly be involved in increasing our self awareness with the aim of guiding our life to the best of our ability.
